Career Day

ECCPTA’s strives to strengthen the bridge between schools and the broader community by creating accessible, collaborative spaces where leaders can learn, connect, and grow together. Through hybrid Gather & Grow meetings—offered both in person and via Zoom—and our conversational Café Connections, ECCPTA equips local units with essential training on compliance topics such as audits and 990’s, as well as program development tools like Box Tops and School of Excellence. Our vision is a county where every PTA feels supported, informed, and empowered to extend PTA’s mission into the community through strong partnerships, shared learning, and innovative, inclusive engagement.

ECCPTA/PTSA came up with the Free Skate Community Event so it would strengthen family engagement and can easily be replicated across Florida. This event proved how powerful a simple, no cost, community partnered experience can be, drawing families who might not otherwise participate and connecting them with valuable local resources. The award’s vision is for successful, community driven ideas like this to inspire PTAs statewide, where one strong program becomes a model for many and leaves a lasting footprint on family involvement across the state. This award will be bestowed upon selected local units and/or county councils/community PTAs that originate programming that has the potential to be replicated statewide. An elementary, middle/high, and county council/community PTA will be recognized.

This initiative furthers the FL PTA’s stated purposes of: To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth and To raise the standards of home life.
